I love this keyboard for two main reasons. First, it's a perfect kids starter keyboard for their size hands that also has an audio jack so they can wear headphones with it. Second, it's perfect for me to use as a MIDI keyboard to play and compose music without needing to sit at my big full size keyboard. Bonuses: lots of instrument voices, 8 voice polyphony, it's light and compact and also a MIDI/USB charging cable to use instead of 4 AA batteries. So cool!

I just received mine yesterday and set it up and started practicing. It sounds great! All the keys and parts arrived well-packaged. I will update this if any problems arise but I am very happy with it! I am NOT a piano expert but I have owned a regular piano previously and this feels great to me. No need to tune! You should know that when assembled properly it sits a few inches away from the wall, so take that into account when deciding on size/space.

The P-125, which shares the Graded Hammer Standard keyboard, takes things up a level in terms of sound quality and feature set. With a maximum polyphony of 192 notes, the Pure CF sound engine produces a very realistic piano tone. You also receive extra sounds, 20 inbuilt rhythms in addition to the normal metronome, EQ and damper resonance control, and a one-song, two-track recorder. Teachers and students will like the dual headphone outputs, and the P-125, unlike the P-45, is compatible with Yamaha’s free Smart Pianist software for iOS devices.

I have played it only once, but the first note I hit sounded so much like an acoustic piano that I was shocked -- pleasantly shocked. I look forward to exploring its many capabilities.

This keyboard looks beautiful! Very sleek and modern. Assembly definitely requires 2 people. The frame is a tad flimsy but is holding up. The keyboard itself has accurate sound quality and the weight of the keys is nice and supposedly adjustable. I am a moderate level musician and overall I would recommend this keyboard!

For a long time, Yamaha’s P-45 digital piano has been at the top of the bestseller charts, and with good reason. Yamaha’s strong musical lineage (and expertise in the realm of Yamaha keyboards) are paired with the brand’s tried-and-true Advanced Wave Modelling (AWM) sampling technology. When you add in the wonderful Graded Hammer Standard keyboard, which is weighted heavier from left to right like an acoustic piano, you get a fantastic all-arounder that’s ideal for beginners. As a first step into the world of Yamaha digital pianos, the P-45 still offers excellent value for money, supported by an illustrious history.

This is the second time I purchased a P45 (this time it's a gift for my friend). The sound texture and quality of it are just amazing. I compared several e-pianos, and this is the one that's most similar to a real piano both in sound and weighted touching feeling. Price-wise, it's absolutely the best choice comparing to other products within the price range. Hugh recommendations for those who are still wandering around.

Kawai is another acoustic piano powerhouse, and the ES110 is their entry into the beginning digital piano market. It includes 19 tones, including 8 acoustic piano sounds sampled from the Kawai 9′ EX Concert Grand piano and boosted by Harmonic Imaging technology for improved realism throughout the dynamic range of the samples. The ES110 has Kawai’s new Responsive Hammer Compact action, which is based on the same principles as the higher-end RHIII action but has been adapted to fit inside the ES110’s smaller casing. There are 100 distinct drum beats onboard, as well as MIDI via Bluetooth for wireless connectivity with iOS and Android devices and Kawai’s own Virtual Technician software for modifying complex aspects like temperament and touch sensitivity.

This is the best lightweight digital piano I have ever played and among the top digital pianos ever, in my opinion - if what you're looking for is pure, high quality and realistic grand piano sampling and realistic action.

Roland is a full-size 88-note piano that weighs just 7kg and can be set up anywhere and powered on batteries. It’s ideal for novices and buskers alike. The consequence of this mobility is that the keyboard is just semi-weighted rather than completely weighted, but many people would be willing to accept that trade-off. The Roland offers a more concentrated piano experience, but it’s a matter of quality over quantity, since the sounds are better overall, and it also features very powerful speakers.

Compared to the Yamaha P45 this has much better sound on the low notes and isn't overpowered by the high notes like the P45. Keys don't feel like smooth cheap plastic either. They have a slight tactile touch to them. Definitely feels better than the keys the Yamaha P45 has.
