They provide a high-end sound for a very specific purpose: aggressive playing. Overall, they’re a fantastic choice if you’re seeking for low-cost hi-hats that will readily cut through mixes. Many reviews tells that they will never forget how inexpensive the Classics Custom Dark cymbals are.

Awesome Hihats! Bright chirpy sound when closed. Clear and defined slosh with amazing overtones when open. The Finish is way cooler than pictured, its a black and gold coloration. looks sick!

They’re the cheapest Zildjian cymbals that don’t have harsh tones. These 14 inch hi-hats are a good value for money set of cymbals. The bottom hat is jagged, generating a strong chick sound when the hi-hats are closed. Playing additional cymbals with the left foot while keeping rhythm. These hi-hats are a wonderful upgrade from entry-level cymbals.

Have a real nice sound to them for the price I paid. The S series seems to be a really good quality symbol for the price if you’re looking to not spend a lot of money on cymbals!

They have a bright, articulate tone. Fast notes will be heard clearly, making them ideal for drummers with quick hands. The bright tone and clear sound are ideal for styles like trap and drum & bass with frequent hi-hat patterns. These hi-hats are universally useful, making them a must-have on any best hi-hat list. In order to obtain the greatest sound, you have to play them forcefully. That’s the major reason pro players don’t use them as primary hi-hats. They don’t open up well when played delicately.

been drumming for 20+ years. Had my higher end cymbals on 2 different sets and needed a cheap pair for a 3rd practice set. I really dig the sound and quality for the price. Perfect for what I wanted in the price rage and didn’t sacrifice too much quality or sound. May not sound like a higher end but at this price it is worth it.

They have a dark tone with a deep personality and a musical essence. This essentially means that you can get more sounds out of these hats with dynamic playing than you would with cheaper hi-hats. Because these are high-end hi-hats, they are somewhat expensive. However, you’ll be playing them for years and won’t be able to stop. As a result, they’re well worth the money.

These are the best Zildjian high hats I own, and I own six pair. They're soft and buttery, and definitely fit the name "sweet." The service from the seller was superb, and they arrived a day earlier than promised. All in all, another great experience from Amazon & Zildjian.

These Sabian AAX X-Plosion hi-hats have a wonderful grooving sound. The bright tone cuts readily through mixes and is perfect for crisp accents. The cymbals have a wide frequency range depending on where they are hit. Many people adore how they sound when you tap the shoulder with the stick. The resulting harsher tone emphasizes the hi-hats’ aggression. They have a traditional shiny cymbal finish with a glassy shimmer. So, if you want a bright pair of hi-hats with a cymbal vibe, they are a terrific choice.

These hats are by far the best that I have ever played! They are well worth the money. Sound is crisp and solid. You won't have trouble being heard, and the sound is fantastic!
