Gets plenty hot enough to work on my thick hair. The size of the tube gives me great curls. My last curling iron had the thumb latch in an awkward place and I was always turning off the heat accidentally. This is a really good design. Hair slides smoothly along the tube - so no tangling or sticking or pulling. Highly recommend.

It’s a quick way to create beautiful, loose curls once you get the hang of it.  Save in mind, however, that if you get this, you may want to keep the glove that comes with it and actually wear it for safety.
