Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
In case you don't know ~
How long can coffee beans sit out?
It’s one thing to speak about how long a cup of freshly made coffee can be kept fresh. There is a great deal of discussion about this, but in general, you can leave coffee beans out for 2 weeks before you notice a difference in flavor, but they will continue to taste good for another 3 months after that.
What are the 4 types of coffee beans?
1. Arabica: A type of coffee grown in North America that has a sweeter, more delicate taste and is less acidic.
2. Robusta: The most widely grown type in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This bean’s name accurately describes its taste profile, which is robust and often harsh.
3. Liberica: It’s an uncommon find. It smells like fruit and flowers and has a “woody” flavor.
4. Excelsa: Mostly grown in Southeast Asia, has a tart, fruitier taste and is noted for showing attributes of both light and dark roast coffees.
How to choose coffee beans to buy?
Well drinking coffee is all about figuring out what you like and sticking to it. Knowing that Arabica and Robusta are the most popular and affordable types, consider how you want to consume your coffee – hot, iced, with or without creamer? If you’re a coffee enthusiast who prefers a simple fresh, hot, black coffee, a light Arabica bean would be an excellent option. The most important thing to remember is that it’s all about figuring out what works best for you, so experiment and have fun!
Where are coffee beans produced?
The Bean Belt, which is the region surrounding the equator between the Tropics of Capricorn and Cancer, is where the majority of the world’s coffee is grown. A large section of Central and South America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia are included in this area. Coffee beans grow within a “cherry” that grows from these plants, which is then harvested.

1.Peet's Coffee
K-Cup Coffee Pods for Keurig Brewers
Easy K-Cups Coffee
It is true that grinding your coffee first thing in the morning gives you a feeling of accomplishment for the day. However, let’s be honest: nothing beats the convenience of a single-serve coffee. Peet’s knows that speed doesn’t have to mean compromising quality, which is why they’ve made their iconic French roast available in K-cups. If you’re unfamiliar with the French roast, it’s a dark roast subtype that’s just slightly lighter than the black Spanish roast. The deep, smokey flavor of French roast coffee beans is rounded off by a sweet aftertaste.
I have many flavors in my rack, 20 or so. Some are flavored, none with creamers or sweeteners. Every so often I try a new flavor. I have a top 6 which I rotate most often. I tried Peet’s Coffee Brazil Minas Naturais K-Cup off the groceries shelf and after the initial 12 kcups I moved it up to the top 6. Been there since then. Nuff said. Thanks Peets.

2.San Francisco Bay Brand
DECAF Espresso Roast
Robust Coffee
This is the perfect choice for you if you enjoy your coffee robust and rich but don’t want to deal with the caffeine jitters. It’s a blend of Bourbon, Parainema, and Caturra varietals to provide a rich, full-bodied coffee. This decaf has been roasted to a medium-dark roast for espresso brewing. It is, nevertheless, just as excellent as a latte or cappuccino when made with milk. With smokey spice, dark chocolate, and vanilla, the taste profile is on the darker side of the spectrum.
OK, I am maybe the biggest coffee snob out there. This stuff is good. Every time I need coffee, I go on a scavenger hunt trying to find the next best thing. I have tried Fresh Roasted Coffee, Peets, Don Pablo, Starbucks, and Koffee Kult. Nothing touches this stuff. If you are thinking about getting any of those brands of coffee, dont. Get this. It is the absolute best!

3.Eight O'Clock Coffee
The Original
Original Coffee Bean
If you like good coffee, you should give Eight O’clock The Original Whole Bean Coffee a try. This coffee is made with carefully picked premium beans that are roasted in small batches and packed correctly to maintain their unique taste. This coffee brand was founded around a century and a half ago, and it has been producing only the highest-quality coffee for over 150 years.
It is hard to find a coffee that is not fruity flavored nowadays. After trying numerous coffees looking for a robust nutty flavor, this Dark Italian Espresso ended my search. My grocery store stopped selling it, so I am grateful that I can obtain it via Amazon. Every morning I look forward to a hot mug of this coffee.

4.Cooper's Cask Coffee
Bourbon & Whiskey Barrel Aged Coffee
Distinct Flavor Coffee Bean
This sample pack is worth a try if you’re looking for something a little different. Cooper’s Cask specializes in coffee that has been stored in whiskey, bourbon, rum, or wine barrels. The makers are careful to emphasize out that this is not a flavored coffee, since the distinct flavor comes from the aging process rather than additions. Cooper’s Cask begins with single-origin coffee beans to provide the greatest possible canvas. The flavor profiles of each coffee are then matched with a spirit that best enhances the flavor.
If you know anyone who likes alcohol and loves coffee this is a perfect gift set for them! I bought this last year for my boyfriend for Christmas- and he loved it! He was using it sparingly because he wanted to save it. The beans are very fresh and smell a lot like the barrels/casks they came from. They grind beautifully and he uses them in his French Press. Very impressed with the beans and the customer service from this company! He loves his new box (different flavors!) that he just got for his birthday a few days ago. Looking forward to buying again

5.Cafe Don Pablo
Subtle Earth Organic Coffee
Sweeter and Velvetier Coffee
Don Pablo is known for his Colombian coffee, but these beans were acquired from the Marcala region of Honduras. Due to the obvious frigid nights, the beans take longer to grow, but the end result is a sweeter, velvetier cup of coffee. These organic coffee beans have a medium-dark roast and provide a cup of coffee that is full-bodied with chocolate overtones and low acidity. The same coffee beans are also available in dark and light roasts, which are always roasted to order for optimal freshness.
I will only drink organic, shade grown coffee. I discovered this brand some time ago, and decided to change it up and get the medium roast instead of the light. It doesn't seem bitter, but it has more bitterness than the light roast! The light roast is just a tasty, smooth cup of coffee! With more caffeine that isn't burned off in the roasting process.
I'm suffering through this five pounds of medium roast and can't wait to buy the LIGHT ROAST when this is gone!

6.Lavazza
Super Crema
Milk-Based Super Crema
Lavazza is a name that doesn’t need to be introduced. It is, after all, a grocery staple. However, with a history dating back to 1895, there’s no doubting the brand’s past. Obviously, no single-origin or third-wave coffee will be found here, but you will discover well-prepared mixes for simple consumption. These coffee beans are ideally suited for espresso preparation and make a great canvas for milk-based cocktails like macchiatos, as their name indicates. They’ve been given a medium roast, which brings out the nutty and caramel notes just enough. This coffee is made up of Arabica beans for taste and Robusta beans for caffeine spike.
I love this bean! Such a rich and bold, yet creamy flavor. The only issue I have is that I will sometimes receive a bag that’s been packaged and sealed 2-3 months ago, which is not the freshest coffee. If I’m paying this much for beans, I’d like to get them fresh from the dealers. I have gotten some bags that are about 2 weeks from being sealed so I guess it’s a chance thing. All in all, awesome coffee! I keep coming back!

7.Death Wish Coffee
Whole Bean Coffee
Strong Coffee Bean
Death Wish takes its claim of producing the world’s strongest coffee very seriously. Rather of expanding out into single origins and limited-edition coffee beans, they’ve narrowed their emphasis to simply the original and Valhalla blends. While a stronger coffee may always be made during the brewing process, Death Wish gets its caffeine straight from the beans. They even promise that if it isn’t the strongest you’ve ever tasted, you will get a refund. Isn’t it amazing?
I cold brew this and then drink it with milk, baileys creamers etc. This coffee will give you a kick like a mule. I mean, you are ready to go for the day. For G-d’s sake don’t drink it in the afternoon or you will never sleep. If you are a graveyard worker, drink this stuff and you will be running a mile a minute, smiling all the time.
I need to decorate for the holidays and I’m oretty sure after two iced coffee of this, I’ll have the boxes unpacked, the house decorated and everything put away in about 5 1/2 minutes. That would include chopping down the tree, dragging it home and stringing it with blue lights.

8.Kicking Horse Coffee
454 Horse Power
Robust and Smooth Coffee
Kicking Horse Coffee’s 454 Horsepower blend is one of their most popular, and it’s simple to understand why. Their beans come from Indonesia as well as Central and South America. After that, they expertly mix them together to make this robust yet smooth coffee. This coffee is great for slower brewing techniques including drip machines, French presses, pour overs, and even cold drips. You’ll be rewarded with a full-bodied cup with earthy and tobacco notes, as well as a black licorice finish.
I like this roast okay, it works good as espresso. It is has the typical sort of pleasant burnt note. When brewed right, it has some mild chocolate and nutty flavors. I find it can be a little picky though, it is very unforgiving of over extraction. I'm more of a medium roast person, but I enjoy the strong upfront flavor profile of this coffee, my only wish is that it had a slightly nuttier aftertaste. For the money though it is good quality, my bag had 4 months left on the sell by date when I got it.

9.Two Volcanoes Coffee
Guatemala Dark Roast
Fruity Taste Coffee Bean
This espresso coffee is made using Guatemalan single-origin coffee beans. The dark roast Arabica and Robusta beans combine to provide velvety-smooth, exquisite espressos for your cappuccino, while being a single-origin coffee. The beans are properly packaged with a ‘degassing’ valve at the source in Guatemala to ensure that any product you get is fresh. Your cappuccino will be flavored with fruity tastes from the ethically produced coffee beans, in addition to the coffee flavor.
Delicious. I am using it in our Gaggia automatic espresso machine. It makes a delicious Americano or Espresso. A little expensive.

10.Jo Coffee
Medium Dark Roast
Rich Chocolate Overtones
This medium-dark roast has rich chocolate overtones and a thick crème cappuccino. The JO Espresso coffee beans are unflavored and have a rich flavor that contributes to a great cup of cappuccino. Enjoy the rich chocolate undertones and thick crème cappuccino with to this medium-dark roast.
So I’m serious about my coffee and love whole dark beans. I’m also a bulletproof coffee drinker because of the quality of the beans. I have literally spent 100.00 on 2 lbs of coffee and I will tell you that this is much better. Fresh, rich, dark and toasty! I love this coffee.

Conclusion
That’s all there is to it. You should be able to find a bean that meets your taste on this list, whether you enjoy powerful, caffeine-packed brews or lighter, more complex medium roasts, or anything in between. We recommend purchasing whole beans so that you can grind them yourself and get the most out of your bean. To ensure that you pick the perfect bean for you, consider your machinery, the roast, and the origin of the product.
