It has a smooth, strong taste and a rich, velvety crema with light caramel color.
Sometimes in the summertime, I like iced coffee in the early evening, but don't want the caffeine to keep me awake. I searched Amazon for decaf coffee beans, read the descriptions, and selected this coffee. It does not disappoint. I make cold brew for iced coffee, using the Takeya cold brew carafe (available on Amazon) and following their recommended amount of ground coffee. The general recommendation to dilute cold brew concentrate is 1:1, cold brew:water/milk. For this mild-tasting coffee, I find that 1 cup of cold brew to 3/4 cup milk is the perfect ratio for me.

The caffeine content of this 60/40 Arabica/Robusta blend is strong, making it ideal for diluting with milk. Due to the obvious Super Crema’s flexibility, you can prepare almost any cup of coffee, hot or cold. Enjoy the hazelnut and brown sugar notes on their own, or add a nutty syrup or chocolate flakes to bring them out even more.
You can make a strong cup with this, and it's very smooth and not bitter. I liked the variety with the yellow stripe on the bag better (maybe called Santa Maria), but this is still very good. I like it nearly as much as Illy, but it's a lot less expensive. If you like your coffee strong but not bitter, this is probably the best brand you can get at this price point.

It's excellent coffee. It's real Kona from the island of Kona. Kona Extra Fancy that I can't afford anymore. It's not worth the money. There are other Kona coffee that costs less including KOA at this point too. Most vendors are selling 14 ounce bags as pounds. It gets a five based on price vs performance, or preference. I Love this coffee. I highly recommend it. It's one of the few that actually comes from the island of Kona. Plenty of so called Kona coffee comes from the big island at elevation.
