This Cacao Paste is ideal for making your own ceremonial cacao cup. The cacao has a lovely and complex taste profile. Nutty and earthy with just the right amount of bitterness. The Cacao spirit is visible in these beans, filling one’s heart with love and pleasure. Cacao King uses grade A cacao, and the quality is obvious. Well-fermented beans that have not been over-toasted and have been ground in a cold procedure to retain quality.

Cacao nibs are often used as a basic component in chocolate by chocolatiers. This cacao, known as Ruk’u’x Ulew (“Heart of the Earth”), is cultivated on an indigenous family farm in Alta Verapaz, Guatemala. When the cacao is collected, it is transported to Lake Atitlán, where a women’s collective meticulously picks the finest beans to roast over a wood fire. As a result, this artisanal cacao has a toasted, classically chocolate taste with overtones of blackberry. Gluten-free and vegan by nature.

The cacao was lovely. It brought such a loving energy to our ceremony.
