Our opinion:

This surprisingly clever card game was designed by a 7-year-old, but it’s great fun for the entire family. With the materials on their cards, each player constructs a taco or burrito. With a belly discomfort card, you may lower the cost of the meal or raise it with some spicy sauce. You don’t have the right card? Take cards from other players or the trash pile using an action card until you obtain the perfect hand. In this simple yet entertaining card game, the person with the most points on their taco or burrito wins after everyone has run out of cards.

Promising review:

Absolutely love Taco vs burrito. I️ bought it as a kickstarter. I️ originally bought this game because my husband and I️ love to play games with friends but most of them are not targeted to children so I️ got this to add to our collection so we had options when our friends with kids came. I’m not gonna lie I️ did No have high expectations for this to be a game for adult but I️ was Sooooo wrong!!!!!! We have now played with several different groups of friends and it’s a hit!!!!! With adults it becomes a major strategy game. I️ have Now bought it as a Christmas present bc it was so well received!!!!

Spot It! Junior Animals Card Game

Visual Card Game

price from
$9.99
Our opinion:

This visual game puts a young child’s observational abilities to the test and necessitates lightning-quick responses. Each time, two cards are turned over, each having one image in common. The person who correctly identifies the matching image on both cards wins the round, and the game continues. This fast-paced and simple-to-learn game will appeal to players of all ages. Switch to traditional Spot It! when your children become older for a fresh challenge.

Promising review:

This is a fantastic learning game for toddlers and preschool kids. My son first played it when he was 3 at his cousin's house and that is when I decided to purchase it myself. You basically lay out 2 cards and they have to find the item that is on both cards. The items are all different sizes so the kids can't just look for an exact replica. My son loves to play it by himself at home as well, kind of like eye spy. There are fewer items on the JR cards as opposed to the regular spot it games which make it a little easier for younger kids as well. I've also found it's helpful for learning animal names/colors as well because we ask him to say the animal name out loud when he finds it.

Our opinion:

This memory game for the entire family will appeal to pet lovers. To play, you don’t need to be able to read or count—all it’s about is your memory. The collection includes 50 cards with lovely animals such as kittens, puppies, and hamsters. There are two of each, and the aim is to locate and match them after they’ve been shuffled about. The player who wins the most matches is the winner. While the dogs are readily recognized because of the adorable photos, the words for each are also written on the card, making it a perfect method to teach early learning skills while having fun.

Promising review:

Our smart-little almost 3-year old LOVED playing this game. I picked 6 pairs of animals which was challenging enough without being overwhelming. As his 75-year old gramma, it was the perfect game for both of us. LOL

Clue Card Game

Mystery Card Game

price from

Our opinion:

In this portable card version of the famous mystery board game, there are some exciting new twists. The Clue Card Game requires players to use evidence cards and case files to acquire information and eliminate suspects. To figure out who is to blame, players ask questions and make accusations. The game is won by the person who correctly guesses who committed the crime, where it occurred, and with what weapon.

Promising review:

Most of Clue relates to the cards, anyway. The board gives a visual, but most of the work is the checklist and the characters. So, this version of the game just makes sense. My daughter and I really enjoy it. Of course, if the process of detection is too tedious in the board game, this game won’t turn things around for you. If you enjoy the board game, this game is just as fun. And I found the added weapons and rooms to be no more of a “difficult” level than the basic version of the card game.

UNO ATTACK Game

Timeless Card Game

price from
$7.99
Our opinion:

Uno is an excellent example of a card game that children will like and play until they reach adulthood. The rules are straightforward and operate in the same way as the famous card game Crazy Eights. The goal is for players to get rid of all of their cards first by placing cards of the same color or number on the pile. Wild cards, on the other hand, keep players on their toes making the game intriguing and fast-paced. Just remember to cry “Uno!” when you’re down to your last card.

Promising review:

When i ordered the Uno cards i was thinking family then when i got them my husband and i seen them and now we have them in the room and we play when the kids go to sleep, and when we play the adults only the blank cards are cool because we can put grown ppl things on the cards like take 1 shot or truth or dare to make it fun for adult game night.

The Muddles: The Kids Card Game

Creative Card Game

price from
$14.99
Our opinion:

This intriguing and inventive card game explores what types of species might be created by mixing animals. To win points, the kids must produce various “muddles” throughout the game. A pig and a frog, for example, create a “pog.” The more uncommon your mess, the more points you’ll get and the closer you’ll go to winning. Another fantastic aspect of this game is that it includes an illustrated picture book to read after you’ve finished playing.

Promising review:

Really cute game that is easy to learn and helped reinforce letter blends for my 5 year old. We love games that have a learn through play component. My lo didn't even realize that this was an educational game. What a win!

Deer In The Headlights The Card Game

Family Card Game

price from
$9.97
Our opinion:

Play Deer in the Headlights with the whole family, with the goal of discarding all of your cards first. Roll a “vehicle” and discard cards to other players, but keep an eye out for the deer in headlights, who may cause you to lose a turn, lock you out of the game, or reduce the number of cards you can discard. Custom cards, a score pad, and two wooden dice are included with each package.

Promising review:

A friend told us about this game and I thought by the name it would be dumb. They brought this game over for game night and we had a blast. It's a super fun game and you can have adult conversations all going on and still keep up with the game. Highly recommend. We also played the game with our late aged teenagers and they all enjoyed it. It's not a difficult game but it's game changing based upon the roll of the dice.

WHAT DO YOU MEME?
Grounded for Life - The Ultimate Family Game

Hilarious Sentence game

price from
$19.82
Our opinion:

This game is geared towards families and will provide hours of entertainment. Players must mix one blue and one red card to form the most amusing statement possible. Everyone takes turns being the judge and deciding whatever concoction is the most amusing. The player who is regarded as the most amusing receives a point, and the one with the most points at the conclusion of the game wins. Play to the judge’s sense of humor to secure a chuckle.

Promising review:

If you don’t own this game, BUY IT NOW. We have never laughed this hard in our lives. As a family who loves to play board games - this will be the only one your kids beg to play. Warning: you could laugh so hard you wet your pants. This game is bonkers - in a good way.

Sushi Go!

Competitive Quick Game

price from
$6.29
Our opinion:

Sushi Go! is a short game that will have you coming back for “just one more round.” That is, it is a board game that may be enjoyed by the whole family. Simple guidelines are quite beneficial. Sushi Go! challenges you to create the most delectable dinner possible with just a deck of cards. A few give you less but are easier to get, while others give you the most. That’s a challenge. Each player must pass their cards on to the next player. Because you never know what you’ll choose next, there’s a risk and reward aspect. As a result, you’ll have a fun and strategic family board game. If you haven’t seen it yet, you’re in for a treat.

Promising review:

We have about 50 different card games and board games in the house and we have added a lot over the last year. Pandemic related lockdown and stress buying!! I'm so glad one of our kids asked for this game. Based on the instructions, it looked like there was a lot to learn but once we watched a couple of videos on Youtube and just started playing, everyone just loved it. It has quickly become the most favorite game of everyone in our family of all ages. Go buy this game if you don't have it already.

Conclusion

These are the most entertaining but complex card games to play with your family, friends, or maybe even a partner. Purchase one to spice up your night rather of just watching a movie. Keep in mind that some of these games may irritate or even break your friendship with the opposite player (just kidding). Finally, simply purchase one and start playing!
