Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Why you should watch a Blu Ray animated movies?
Classic animation with a lot of film grain has a tougher difficulty with streaming video’s bitrate limits, and the difference may be much more visible in such situations. Most streaming providers simply cannot compete with Blu-ray’s superior (lossless) audio and full graphics subtitle choices. Blu Ray animation which was released after the original release oftentimes enhanced the visual and the art of the titles.
What factors should be considered before purchasing a Blu Ray animation movies?
First of all, you need to check the rating, as it is not a good decision to watch a title that does not suitable for your age. Second, you may want to check the resolution and audio quality to get the most watching experience. Lastly, you need to make sure that you have the device used to play the Blu-Ray movie.
How much does a Blu Ray animated movies cost?
The average price of a Blu-Ray animated movie is around 10 to 20 bucks. The price may vary if the Blu-Ray was released in a special edition. The price also may change if there is more than a movie is packed on the Blu-Ray set. The resolution and audio quality also may affect the price of Blu-Ray animated movies.
Is there any difference between animated movies in Blu Ray and Streaming Services?
The animated movie’s picture quality on Blu-ray discs is often better than what you’d get from streaming platform. Another unique characteristic of Blu-ray animated movies is their ability to play high-quality audio. While streaming is a good option for its versatility, Blu-ray is still the best choice.

Dreamworks
How to Train Your Dragon 2 (4K Ultra HD)
Stunnin 3D Detail Blu ray
The stunning How to Train Your Dragon, a contemporary masterpiece that DreamWorks Animation somehow managed to improve upon with last year’s larger, bolder, and a brainier sequel, silenced critics in 2010. How to Train Your Dragon 2 is also one of the current 3D home cinema flag-bearers, releasing a barrage of magnificent stereoscopic moments that put many other attempts to shame.

DISNEY/PIXAR
The Complete Toy Story Collection
Excellent Animation Trilogy Blu Ray
The first established the studio as a powerhouse, the sequel showed it could recreate the magic, and the third saw the cast and crew return after an 11-year hiatus and take up just where they left off. All three are pure popcorn entertainment, and picking one is as impossible as it is worthless. There is no finer illustration of the CG ‘toon revolution than this trilogy as a whole.
I ordered this before looking at the reviews, and I was weary if they’d even work after all the bad reviews! For me they are perfect; packaging was excellent, brand new, yes they’re from the UK. They do play in my LG 4K Ultra-HD Blu-Ray player. Looks crystal clear! Love them.

WALT DISNEY ANIMATION
Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs [Blu-ray]
Classic Animation Blu Ray
The first full-length feature film was created entirely of hand-drawn animation. With that in mind, it’s difficult to overestimate the importance of 1937’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs on the film business, which gave birth to a genre that shows no signs of dying out. Disney released a stunning new hi-def restoration for the current HD age, but if you want to see all of the added extras, you’ll need to seek down the 2009 multi-disc ‘Diamond Edition.’
Probably my favorite Disney animated feature film. Fantasia being next. I love the true hand-drawn animation and hand painted cells. The music and the songs are good to outstanding and I'm not sure how much longer this film will be available to the public unedited because of 1938 content, as stupid as that sounds.

THE INCREDIBLES
Superhero Family Animation Blu Ray
Pixar’s finest superhero-family-themed animated film is The Incredibles. Characters, family themes, the villain, and the vintage world design are all excellent. There’s a lot to be excited about here for cinema lovers, superhero enthusiasts, and James Bond fans. Nonetheless, the film is ideal for first-time viewers. On Blu-ray, The Incredibles stands up to its name, with a vibrantly colored, razor-sharp 1080p encode and a raucous, layered, flawless lossless sound mix.

Studio Ghibli
Grave of the Fireflies [Blu-ray]
Award Winning Warfare Animation Movie
Isao Takahata’s award-winning 1988 film, which eschews fanciful flights of imagination in favor of presenting the fairly tragic narrative of two young Japanese children battling to keep alive during the closing months of WWII, is somewhat of an outlier in the Studio Ghibli back-catalog. Its capacity to shock audiences with the horrors of war is on par with live-action masterpieces like Come and See and All Quiet on the Western Front. Prepare some tissues to wipe your eyes, and then enjoy the movie’s Blu-ray presentation, which includes a superb treatment of the film’s intricate artwork.
Despite the cutesy cover, this is NOT a film for children. It's the semi-autobiographical story of life in Japan near the end of WW-II and it is very difficult to watch in places. That doesn't mean "bad film" - on the contrary - the suffering of these two children and the complete inability of what remains of society to deal with it properly will break your heart, if you have one.

Sony Pictures
Paprika
Stunning Visual Animation Blu Ray
Satoshi Kon as a director let his imagination go wild, flooding the screen with a dizzying display of visuals that are alternately bizarre, disturbing, and stunning, thanks to Paprika’s cautionary tale about a machine that enables individuals to penetrate the psyche of others. The experience is delivered with panache on Sony Pictures’ Blu-ray with MPEG-2 encode.
A beautiful and cerebral film that finds a perfect balance between seriousness and fantastical playfulness. An essential piece in Kon’s work but also a fun ride, Paprika is a brilliant film. The animation is smooth and colorful. This movie is definitely worth a watch whether you’re a fan of anime or film or not.

TOUCHSTONE PICTURES
THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS
Grim Christmas Animation Movie
With its odd plot of Halloween Town inhabitants attempting a coup on Christmas, Henry Selick’s musical fantasy is the only family-friendly mash-up of the macabre and joyful. Yet, whether it’s the lovingly-crafted stop-motion animation or the foot-tapping melodies, something that should have gone horribly wrong seems oh-so perfect on screen. The audio-visual show’s headliner is the DTS-HD MA 7.1 soundmix, which is closely followed by Disney’s impressive 1080p transfer.
Burton thinks outside of the box...not a sheep thats for sure and good for him and thank goodness for him and his creativity. You have to see how much time it takes to make a movie like this amazing what it takes to do this type of move. Story line one of a kind unique "Jack Skelington" is wonderful is fabulous wonderful personality and probably the most famous character in this movie. Big fan of this movie and the artistry of it ! Very entertaining

Ratatouille [Blu-ray]
High Quality Animation Blu Ray
Ratatouille is that one-of-a-kind experience that resonates with a wide range of audiences, whether they are discerning technophiles, animation aficionados, or simply regular people looking for a good time. Colors are brighter, contrasts are more balanced, and black levels are more consistent thanks to the high definition quality, all wrapped in a blanket of crisp and high clarity. Each of these transfers is flawless. From open to close, there is hardly little discernible grain or certificating. This Blu-ray picture is deserving of a prominent position in your collection.
My son was 6 when Ratatouille premiered, he will soon be 21 and I still watch this movie just without him. It is colorful, figuratively & literally. It is funny. Great animation. Great voice actors. I can't say enough about Ratatouille which is definitely one of my favorites.

WALT DISNEY ANIMATION
SLEEPING BEAUTY
Classic Restored Blu Ray Movie
In preparation for this release, the 1959 animated classic was given a thorough restoration, and it has never looked better. Despite over four decades of use, the film seems to have never been touched or aged. The Technicolor colours are bright, and the image has been painstakingly cleaned of any flaws one frame at a time, without any of the false smoothing that is often associated with such techniques. For the first time on video, the film is presented in its original Disney-specific aspect ratio of 2.55:1, displaying more of the image than has ever been seen before. The high-definition format also allows for a degree of sharpness and detail that far beyond any prior release. When you add in a powerful 7.1 lossless DTS0-HD Master Audio track, you get a genuinely captivating presentation.
I was worried I wouldn't be able to activate the digital code since this movie was back in the Disney vault, but it worked! Very happy with this purchase.

WALL-E [Blu-ray]
Robot Animation Blu Ray Movie
Andrew Stanton’s WALL E is a masterwork on par with Pixar’s finest films, and more. It’s everything you could expect from a film about a robot discovering love, and more. The image is very amazing. In 1080p, every component of every frame is note-perfect. Not only are the images stunning, with every scene packed with sights and delights, but the transmission is faultless as well. The colors are fantastic, brilliant, vivid, and vibrant; the contrasts are striking, and there’s no bothersome film grain or certification due to the nature of the CG animation. This is as amazing as Blu-ray gets, and it will undoubtedly serve as a system show-stopper for all your friends and neighbors.
This movie was referenced in several non-fiction books. It is a sweet movie and it's predictions are quite accurate. If I were still teaching high school technology, I would definately have this movie in my curriculum. It raises questions about ecology, but more questions about Artificial Intelligence and how much technology should control humans.
