The Add-In Jacket from Houdini is so light that the brand recommends using it as an inside layer in really chilly weather. However, due to its thin-yet-toasty-warm layer of Primaloft insulation, this jacket is also great on its own. It’s also made of durable C9 Ripstop fabric, which makes it lightweight (just over a pound in total weight) and very packable, as well as breathable and comfortable. As an extra plus, everything is recyclable, making this one of the most environmentally-friendly solutions available.

For those who don’t know, Helly Hansen specializes in designing apparel for some of the world’s coldest conditions, such as the icy waters of the Arctic. While this puffer jacket isn’t quite up to Perfect Storm-style activities, it’s perfect for everyday adventures in all kinds of weather, and it’s styled after the brand’s classic and legendary original Puffy Jacket. The shell, liner, and insulation are all constructed of polyester, making it lightweight, sturdy, and warm. And it really does look fantastic in every color.

But it is, due to 60g Coreloft Compact synthetic fibers that will keep you toasty warm without weighing you down or limiting your movement, and they were designed to remain in place over time, increasing the jacket’s usable life. The shell is also waterproof and has improved abrasion resistance.

Hand down the best jacket I ever own. I look forward to cold weather just so I can wear my jacket. Super light, comfortable and perfect for any occasions!

For starters, it resembles a puffer jacket, but one that is sleeker and more aggressively built (like it was designed for intense expeditions). It does, however, come with a shell composed of 100% recycled ripstop nylon and 80g PrimaLoft insulation made from 70% recycled materials. That means you can feel good about wearing something that helps minimize waste rather than create it, in addition to looking and performing well.

I've had it for a couple months in Colorado. it's a great light jacket for shoulder seasons or insulator for snow sports. definitely recommend.

Furthermore, it will maintain your body temperature even when wet, a feat that gooses down cannot match. It also doesn’t hurt that it looks amazing in any of the three colors available.

Purchased this for my husband and he can't stop raving about it!! Keeps him warm and dry, without being bulky. He was even unsure about the hood, but is now glad for it! I'd highly recommend this for everyday life and use on the trails!

The thing with synthetic down is that brands are always experimenting with new and exciting materials, as is the case with this Proof Graphene Down Jacket. It’s packed with Graphene, a carbon-based synthetic that’s highly durable (to the point that it’s commonly referred to as “indestructible”), excellent at thermoregulation, and exceedingly lightweight. In addition to the filling, the shell is double DWR-coated for superior water and stain protection. And it all fits into a little space for travel.

This is a waterproof and insulated jacket that is perfect for cold blustery Portland days....

Even better, it comes in a variety of colors, allowing you to choose the one that most suits your own style.

My husband loves his coat. It has taken me 4 years to find another coat similar to his last one. It is a little heavier, but he likes that. He is 6 ft 1 about 225llbs, it covers his long arms and buttocks. Just right.
