Another excellent, sturdy 30-gallon tank air compressor is the Porter-Cable PXCMLC Single Stage air compressor. It also has the additional, and more rare, advantage of being completely portable, allowing you to transfer it from one location to another. It has an average PSI capacity of 135, which is about normal for an oil-lubricated tank. Not to mention the heavy-duty induction motor, which provides optimum performance and efficiency.

My Dad has had a Porter Cable stand up compressor for years, so I figured I would give them a try too. The motor was made in Wausau, WI (while other brands have theirs from China), its quiet, maneuverable and the price was reasonable. I am really happy with it so far.

The dual voltage motor is connected to a normal 120-volt outlet but may be changed for a 240-volt application. This is a classic cast iron design that is both portable and lightweight. It will look fantastic in any workplace and is an excellent addition for any hobbyist or professional!

Arrived quickly. Worked right out of the box. No air leaks. Generally quite. Minor down side: Oil was a bit low. Other than that, the other comments regarding air release and oil drain plug are correct. They are a hassle. Been using it for a couple of weeks and its great.

Excellent compressor. All I recommend is to get the most out of this unit run it and wire it to 220v. The draw on start up is quit challenging for a typical 110v 20 amp or thirty amp outlet circuit. 220v and own circuit will provide a fail safe operation.

The DeWalt DXCMLA1983012 has a PSI of 155 and a CFM of 22, making it one of the most powerful in the business and more than enough for your plasma cutter. It is one of the most robust 30 gallon cast iron tanks and can withstand everything your plasma cutter can throw at it. It is also oil-free and low-maintenance, with an apparent pump design and a two-piece cooling system.

Love it, great compressor. Fills pretty quickly for the size it it, not very quiet but not the loudest. Very mobile and lots of CFM great for Plasma cutting. Highly recommend.

I have been using this compressor for a couple weeks now and it works great, very stable on it's platform and quiet when running, compared to my last compressor the noise level is about half. I would recommend and buy again.

Haven't had very long but so far we're very happy with this air compressor. A little louder than I'd like but most air compressors are. We run a small cabinet shop and it's done everything we've ask it to, air nailers, spray guns, etc.
