I bought these a few months ago and tried them out on our Kings Canyon (NT) rim walk hike and they were great. I wear thin Kathmandu merino liners underneath and they fitted really well and were comfortable in my hiking boots and no rubbing. I only hike in merino socks as they are soft and my feet are never wet from sweat in either summer or winter and the socks dry quickly. I bought the quarter crew khaki (for when it’s not so cold) as well as the longer option for cold weather hiking.
