XL fits a small 42lb husky. I suggest going by the dogs back length or at least by the largest measurement that is your concern for coverage. Reflection works. The elastic for the back legs keeps the raincoat in place and does not get in the way with going potty or pooping. Even when shaking. My girl doesnt like anything over her tall ears so this shorter hood is perfect.

It’s not always bad to wear garments that are a little loose. Besides being able to be covered with additional clothing, this rain gear can still be used as the dog grows bigger. No need to change every few months. Especially with this excellent quality, not necessarily the new ones will be as good. Are we on the same side?

The quality of the jacket is nothing to say, the workmanship is meticulous, the fabric is not stiff, the touch feels comfortable, and the color is bright. Covering part of the dog’s body but leaving the other part open may make you feel uncomfortable. To make sure your lovely doggie is really protected, it would be better to wear rain gear with full protection so that not only the back, but also the head, legs, stomach, and even tail are remain dry. Our advice, take this product.

Bought a size up, instead of LM I order LL for my 45 lbs Aussie Cattle/ Lab cross. It fits her amazingly with extra length to cover her tail, legs and stomach. The hood is also great as it protects her ears without covering her eyes. I was worried about the snaps but they are good quality. I am really happy as all other coats were over 80$ and this one is perfect and budget friendly. Will order again.
