Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Have you known these?
What factors need to be considered when purchasing an e-reader?
First, decide what screen type you prefer; a paper-like display or a typical LCD screen? Each has its own perks, so adjust your needs. After that, so that your reading is not disturbed, choose products with long battery life. Size and weight will also affect your reading experience and portability. What is no less important is what format the device supports because it’s useless to have unlimited resources but cannot access them. We leave the rest to you.
What is the difference between e-reader and tablet?
A tablet is basically a cellphone with large size. With a tablet you can do various things, such as browsing, chatting, playing games, watching movies, taking photos, and the list goes on. Meanwhile, the e-reader was created with a special mission, namely to facilitate the reading of electronic materials.
What is e-ink?
Electronic ink technology produces a low-power, paper-like display for e-readers. The screens are matte rather than shiny, which removes any glare from the source of lights so you can read longer without eye strain. Compared to LCD, e-ink is also more energy-efficient. It’s no wonder that most e-readers can last for weeks on a single charge.
How much should I spend on an e-reader?
Good news for all of you, especially if you are on a budget: prices for ebook readers have fallen considerably across the board. This means that you can get the device at an affordable price. Most e-readers are priced around $200 with pretty decent quality.

Kindle
Feels like a real paper
Now Kindle comes with a built-in front light that eliminates any glare in the morning and provides enough light when it gets dark. Using an e-reader makes your reading experience undisturbed by email, chats, or social media motivation. Plus, this device feels like real paper: very light and compact. With adjustable brightness that frees you from eye strain.
This was one of the best purchases I have ever made. I really hesitated for a LONG time getting a kindle because I prefer the feel of “real” books in my hands. However, after being talked into it by a friend, I bit the bullet and bought this one. I am in love with it. I can read at night without a light on and having to disturb the husband. It is small enough I can take it anywhere and just whip it out and start reading. I don’t have to worry about a book mark since it saves right where you left off. I can have books to read in an instant by downloading from Amazon. Great price and great investment!

Kobo is one of the Kindle’s biggest competitors. What makes it superior is that it supports numerous formats so that it doesn’t limit your references. Moreover, the device provides the perfect light no matter where you are. No need to turning on the lights and waking your partner up if you want to read in the middle of the night.
I have upgraded to this model after having one of the original models for many years. I love my Kobo Clara it is great for reading outside when it is sunny and then curling up in bed in the dark to read before sleep. I am dyslexic and having a small single page makes it easier for me to read and love that it is small and light and I can carry it everywhere. Great value for money...

Kindle Paperwhite
Everyone's favorite
You must have known this product. The Kindle Paperwhite with all its features has won the hearts of its users for a long time, from journal readers to comic fans. Unlike most e-readers that come in black, this one offers four fun colors, complete with nine cover options. The screen supports a 300 ppi glare-free display and gives a paper-like feeling even in bright sunlight. What’s more, the waterproof feature lets the user reads anywhere; even when taking a shower.
I have an older Nook with e-Ink display and have always really enjoyed the premise, but wanted something more modern. When I saw that this was waterproof, I was hooked. It reads just like a paper book, the light feature is gentle and perfect for night reading, the battery lasts for weeks, I'm not worried about water damage at the beach or pool. 100% would recommend, if you're an avid reader like myself.

Kindle Oasis
Glare-free and waterproof
A screen with a warm light will be very useful for nighttime reading. Apart from avoiding visual fatigue, a device with that value provides the feel of reading a physical book. You will be more adaptable to e-books even though you are new to this game. Want to read in the morning, at night, in the room, or in the pool there is no problem thanks to the glare-free and waterproof qualities.
I love my new kindle oasis,,the product in itself has been a lifesaver for me. I am severely arthritic and holding on to a book or even a paperback is impossible.. one of the joys of my life is reading so I bought a kindle when they first came out. I’ve had a couple of them and the Oasis is my favorite, it’s small and thin to carry in my purse and weighs very little so holding in my hands is comfortable and easy. I also read a lot at night and being able to adjust the lighting through the intensity and warm of the lighting is so nice.i love this product!

Everything about it is great. I know I won't need another e-reader for years to come. Felt good in my goods from the start. The lighting is beautiful and very smooth transitions to switch to a book or when highlighting.

Kindle Voyage E-reader
Adaptive front light
What’s great about Kindle Voyage is its adaptive front light, whose brightness changes automatically based on the light situation around you. This is great news for avid readers who are ready to devour good stories in bright sunlight or total darkness. In order to support your hobby, this device is equipped with a battery that lasts weeks, not hours.
This is my third Kindle. The other 2 are still working, I chose this one because I missed the page turn "button" from my first Kindle. When reading at night during the winter I like to keep my arms and hands under the blanket. Now I can turn the pages with blanket in place with either my right or left hand.

Amazon
Kindle DX
Large screen with keyboard
No, this isn’t the old school Kindle DX you ran into in 2009. Amazon just introduced a new graphite Kindle DX with 50% improved contrast. That means the text is noticeably darker, more defined, and easier to read in lower light. Its 9.7 inch wider screen also contributes to enhance your reading experience. On top of that, this reader also supports MP3 playback, as well as audiobooks from Audible.com. You can seamlessly switch from reading to listening anytime you desire.
Although I have wanted to purchase a new e-reader, I cannot imagine a better one than the dx. I love the size of the screen as well as it's ease on the eyes. I would love a back light, but I do not mid using a light for night reading. I am hooked solely on the fact that I can download a book anywhere. I cannot tell you how many times I have been in an airport or restaurant or travel and have finished a book. It is so convenient to be able to download a book and to read it within minutes. The kindle fires look nice for a tablet, but for reading books, I do not think I will ever get rid of my dx.
